The Sho Shin Do training syllabus is designed to address several diverse components of personal development.
Self defence, health and well being, discipline, confidence and
inner balance are all personal development challenges to the Martial
Artist.
There is also the pure pleasure of experiencing a different way of
life, making new, sincere friends and exploring the myriad components
of the Art side of the ‘Martial Arts’.
Whether you know nothing about karate or have been training in the
Martial Arts for years there is something for you at Sho Shin Do.
Beginner's classes allow you to learn the foundations of karate
whilst building your fitness ready for the more advanced training to
come.
Intermediate classes teach a full set of techniques for self defence whilst challenging the inner person.
Advanced classes hone these techniques into skills whilst building
high levels of fitness and challenging the character with myriad
opportunities for introspection.
SELF DEFENCE
Serious self defence means more than just punching and kicking! We
teach methods for dealing with conflict BEFORE it gets physical.
Just what exactly are you allowed to do to defend yourself?
Appropriate action starts with self control and good communication. You
see karate isn’t about violence, it’s about being in control of
yourself, your emotions and self doubts and learning to always put your
best foot forward. And if things do get physical, your practice at our
Dojo could save your life.
